Sacré is One of Five Unexpected Vermont Maple Treats Worth the Drive
Feb 24, 2021
In an article from Seven Days, the spotlight is on Sacré, a zero-proof aperitif from Woodnose, crafted by Justin and Roger Branon Rodriguez. Displayed in the Branon Family Maple Orchards sugarhouse, Sacré is made from organic maple syrup fermented with a vinegar mother and aged in bourbon barrels, then blended with fair trade, shade-grown coffee and fresh maple syrup. This complex, tangy beverage can be enjoyed on its own or mixed into cocktails, offering a unique take on maple. Sacré bottles from the 2020 vintage are available at Winooski's Beverage Warehouse for those unable to visit Fairfield.
